Placing Identity

Placing identity explores how context shifts our interaction with our inner and outer selves, our public and private spaces. A child stands amongst a forest of trees. The child is out of place, the contexts mismatch, the visual lexicon is disordered. In this discorded setting, can there still be a dialogue of the person to the landscape, the viewer to the sitter? Is the resulting discourse falsified or masked or merely transformed.
